After a relaxing morning, we departed from Byron Bay and had about 6 hours of travel time in the van to get to Hervey Bay. There really isn't anything to do in Hervey Bay. It's basically just a place we stay to catch the ferry to Fraser Island tomorrow. We set up our tents at a nice campsite, and then we ate some pizza during the beautiful sunset.
After dinner we had to do some grocery shopping for our trip to Fraser Island. Then we came back to the campsite. I played some cards (Hearts has been the game of choice for a while) and then got some sleep. There were tons of fruit bats around our campsite. They were massive.
